Home Away From Home: Le Méridien New Delhi

Address: 8 Windsor Place, Janpath, New Delhi, Delhi 110001

The hotel is very ideally located in the city, just a short walk or tuk tuk ride to Connaught Place (where you’ll find restaurants and shops). Awarded a Certificate of Excellence and rated highly by Tripadvisor.
Luckily for us, we able to access our room immediately and given complimentary WIFI (which was pretty strong in most parts of the hotel especially our room).
As pictured above, Le Méridien has a cool lobby area which is very art deco inspired. If you look down at the lobby from the balcony outside your room, the lines and colours will take you on an unexpected trip. The exposed glass lifts have quite an old-fashioned look about them, but were the most striking feature.

Le Méridien has 358 rooms and 52 suites, which all include advanced technology. Next to our bed we had a control that allowed you to operate every light in the room, including a master switch to turn everything off.
Our Executive Room featured an ensuite bathroom with a rain shower, shower gel, shampoo/conditioner, vanity sets, sewings kits, shaving set and a few other bits. Our kingsize bed was very plush with enough room to make you feel like you were in the bed by yourself.  In the evenings we had enough movie channels to keep us entertained.
The view wasn’t too bad, but nothing amazing.

Restaurant & Bar
They have 6 restaurants/bars, but we only got to take advantage of their all-day dining restaurant The One. The One offers local and international cuisines. This is where we had breakfast every morning buffet style. The selection was very generous with plenty to choose from. I normally just had a smoked salmon roll with a fruit salad.

Pool & Other Facilities
There is an outdoor swimming pool located on the fourth floor, so not quite rooftop but still a way up from ground level. You can access the pool through the gym, which has state of the art equipment including a personal trainer for hire. In addition to this, they have a spa, beauty salon and shopping arcade, which we never got to use.

Please leave a comment if you’d like further information about my stay here.
