A Royal Outing

My trusty travel partner (aka my mum) and I, visited the city of masterminds and Royals, Cambridge. I have been wanting to visit Cambridge for some time now (mainly to go punting) and the weather on this particular day, wasn’t the best, but suitable enough for a day trip. On a whim, we booked our train tickets and headed out within the hour.

We boarded a direct train from London Kings Cross, which only took about 45 minutes to get there. On arrival we booked a punting tour immediately! The tour was reasonably priced and lasted 50 minutes. You can find many punting tour providers in the town centre.

If you’re a lover of architecture and history, then Cambridge is full of it, with awe-inspiring college buildings, museums and art galleries! Here are a few highlights of our day…
